The Calgary Chamber is committed to addressing mental health in the workplace by partnering with thought leaders and mental health practitioners to reduce stigma and empower strength. Through our partnership with the Calgary Counselling Centre, and with generous support from the City of Calgary’s Mental Health Strategy, the Mental Health Navigator will provide critical resources and support to businesses and their employees across the City.

Looking for guidance from our Mental Health Navigator?

This service is available to employees who do not have access to an Employee Assistance Program or a benefits program which might otherwise cover the costs of accessing services within the community.

Meet Shazia Rahmani

Shazia, a Calgary Counselling Centre counsellor, holds a Master of Clinical Social Work degree (MSW) from the University of Calgary. She has a decade of experience as a front-line worker in non-profits working with children, youth, and families in areas of youth empowerment, mentorship, domestic violence, newcomer settlement, employment and education and community resourcing. Her experience and skills give clients the opportunity to receive therapeutic and social support. Shazia is skilled in community resource navigation, planning and problem solving, and is excited to support Calgary businesses with improved access to mental health and addictions support in their communities.
