Submission to the House of Commons Standing Committee on International Trade

Canada ranks among the best places in the world to start a business, but the same businesses face significant issues when looking to scale up. Small and mid-sized businesses will not be able to take full advantage of spin-off benefits that come from international trade if they are facing challenges in growing.

In response to a call from the House of Commons Committee on International Trade, the Calgary Chamber provided a submission with three recommendations to help Canadian businesses scale up to take full advantage of new international trade agreements like the European Union Comprehensive and Economic Trade Agreement (CETA) and the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP).
