Grumans

Back in 2005, Peter Fraiberg had an idea to bring the classic Jewish deli of his childhood in Montreal to the Calgary food scene, and so Grumans Delicatessen was born. Named after his mom’s side of the family, Grumans is an homage to the traditional deli and the Jewish-style home cooking his mom was famous for.

In 2015, his sister Gail joined him at Grumans, bringing Jewish love into the restaurant’s kitchen, and two years later, she opened her own location in Britannia, where she continues to carry on the legacy of their mom and her wonderful cooking.
