Reporting to the Board of Directors, the next President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) has a unique and exciting opportunity to serve and support the business community in Canada’s most enterprising city. This passionate and dynamic leader will develop and execute a transformational strategy advancing the Chamber’s mission and vision through new and innovative ways to attract, engage, retain and deliver value to members, businesspeople and our diverse community. The President and CEO will drive meaningful change that improves the prosperity and connectivity of the Calgary business community while ensuring the relevance and financial sustainability of this historic organization. Along with their dedicated team, this leader will foster an inclusive environment of connectivity through meaningful thought exchange and collaboration that allow start-ups, small, midsize, and enterprise businesses to engage across a broad spectrum of industries. The successful candidate will take the opportunity to embrace the strength of our platform within Calgary, Alberta and on the national stage.

Known as a community and team builder, the ideal candidate is visionary, inspirational, entrepreneurial, politically astute, collaborative and a strong communicator. With at least 5-10 years of progressive and diverse experience at the executive level, this authentic leader has demonstrated strength in strategic planning, public speaking, change management and exceptional relationship and community building skills. Our next President and CEO has the power of network to connect with a broad range of stakeholder groups across our community including business, industry, academia, not-for-profit organizations, and government. This results-driven individual is recognized for their achievements in team leadership, advocacy, communications, marketing, board engagement, and financial management. The Chamber’s new vision will inspire, influence change and growth, reinvigorate confidence, and amplify Calgary’s entrepreneurial spirit driving opportunity for the whole city.
